SASSA Will Take Expert Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA will be rendering providers which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it is alarmed with regards to the superior quantity of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area daily. The support point produced for intervention encounters a superior inflow of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tricky with the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SRD SASSA will mobilise much more resources to help the servicing of all buyers and raise usage of Social Assistance sassa status companies,” the agency said.

For more information, community members SRD can call toll free during working days/hours on 0800 60 10 11 and WhatsApp on 082 046 8553. - SAnews.gov.za
